“If It Is To Be, It’s Up To Me.” - Thomas B. Smith
Thanks for dropping by. A bit about me… I am the Program Director for GrowCocoa, the cocoa livelihoods and sustainable supply chain alliance developed by US-based Blommer Chocolate Co., North America’s largest cocoa processor and ingredient chocolate supplier, and Singapore-based Olam International Ltd., a global integrated supply chain manager of agricultural products and food ingredients.
In this role I will work to further expand upon Blommer and Olam’s successes in West Africa and Southeast Asia, as well as to develop robust programs in new origins.
Prior to joining GrowCocoa, I was the Director of Operations and Africa Business Development for CG/LA Infrastructure, a Washington DC-based infrastructure advisory firm.
I’ve lived and worked in West Africa (Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal), where I focused on developing and implementing agricultural and educational programs in partnership with government units and community-based groups.
Prior to my work in West Africa, I held two appointments during the Administration of President George W. Bush and I am a U.S. Marine.
Independently, I am affiliated with various international development and veterans associations.
I’m here to connect with like-minded folks, and to exchange thoughts and ideas. I welcome you to touch base with me via LinkedIn, email, or Twitter (@kevinerwilkins).
I hope to be in touch.
